Recommended things to pack

Documents and Other Important Things

• Passport - ensure your passport is up to date and will not expire within 6 months of your trip
• Plug socket converter
• Proof of Vaccination
• Masks
• Phone charger, battery pack, headphones, iPad - entertainment on the plane
• British Pound (£) currency - handy for taxis and tipping throughout the UK.
• International Credit Card with low exchange rate. We use American Express (not accepted everywhere) and our Chase Sapphire card (this seems to be the best one to use!)

Clothing

Late March in England is around 50-60 degrees F. Can be breezy, but the sun will be pleasant when it peeks out.

• Formal dress for the wedding. More info in dress code. (hat, dress, heels, suit, collared shirt, tie, formal shoes)
• Warm coat, sweaters, long sleeves, scarves, gloves and waterproof cover
• For California friends, likely you will want to wear jeans the entire duration of your trip.
• Women - packable, crease free dresses
• Rain Boots/Wellies - great if you'd like to visit National Trust parks, walk alongside the sheep at Hawkstone Hall or visit Hawkstone Follies.
• Thick socks to wear with your wellies
• Tennis shoes/sneakers for any city walks. Low ankle boots are great for this, too. Ballet flats great for throwing in the bag.
• Yoga Pants/Sweats for the transatlantic flight/lounging in the hotel room or for walks through the countryside
• Swim suit if you choose to travel somewhere like the Thermae Bath Spa in Bath, England (quite a jaunt, but one of our recommended places if you are taking a car and driving from London!) or if your hotel has a swim room
• PJs

Toiletries

• Small moisturiser, sanitiser and make up wipes to freshen up on the plane
• Electric toothbrushes tend to be challenging to charge with the plug converters. Manual recommended.
• Make-Up, curling iron, etc. (again, remember the plug converter!)
• If you forget anything, Boots chain, located in almost every town, has you covered. They are owned by CVS.

Gifts

• We kindly ask that if you do so choose to celebrate our union with a gift, please refrain from bringing boxed gifts to the venue. As we're traveling internationally like many of our guests, we will have limited space in our luggage. Please find our gift registry which will allow you to ship directly to our home or consider a gift amount to our fixer-upper fund.
